They installed a tower 50m from my house despite our community's protests. When I complained about health concerns, they sent me a pamphlet and ghosted me.
Contract clearly stated no equipment on the north side of the property. Guess where they put it? And then claimed it was 'industry standard practice'.
Chemical overspray killed my vegetable garden. Telstra offered $200 'goodwill' payment for thousands in damages. Disgraceful.
Six months of dropped calls. Dozens of service tickets. Zero resolution. But my bill arrives perfectly on time every month.
They promised in writing the equipment would be 'visually unobtrusive'. Now I have a 15m tower blocking my ocean view. Property value dropped $100K.
Signed up for NBN with guaranteed speeds. Getting less than 1/3 of what I pay for. Their solution? 'Try moving your router'.
Tower was installed without proper cultural consultation on land with Aboriginal significance. Telstra's response: 'We followed the process'.
Three years of billing errors. Hours on the phone. Promised refunds that never came. Had to involve the Telecommunications Ombudsman.
You did everything wrong. Good thing I checked the document for review which you told me that I didn't need to do. All the details are wrong. I've tried to resolve this over the course of the last two days online and when that didn't work, came into store. Seems that's been made a mess of as well. I phoned this Telstra "business" hub at 9.01am to try to get first in the queue. Was on hold for over 90 minutes and finally ran out of patience and hung up. No "leave your number and we’ll call you back" option like most customer oriented organisations. If this is how they treat their business customers, heaven help the ordinary Joe in the street. So typical of our oligopolistic telco regime. Time to break Telstra up like they did in the USA with AT and T in 1984! Competition leads to higher customer service levels. I'll take you up on that, but please be aware that before I tried to call Telstras NS Business hub, I visited your Chatswood store (after leaving two unanswered phone messages with them) only to be told that as I had a "business" account they couldn't help me an I would have to go to North Syd Business Hub. More wasted time. Suggest that you brand your stores either "business'" or "private" to save others being inconvenienced as well.
Whatever time of the day you go, they are busy for no good reason. And even if you have an appointment you have to wait because the appointments are always late. I wish I had another option but unfortunately that is the only option I have around.

Staff can sometimes be impatient with anxious, stressed customers. Avoid interacting with Telstra staff when in an agitated state, they won't care that the service is the reason for your agitation.

After deciding to cancel my services with Optus, I was prepared to transfer all my business to Telstra. Upon entering the store, I found it empty and began examining some phones. Despite being the only customer present initially, the staff chose to serve another couple who arrived after me. One employee acknowledged this oversight but merely asked me to wait five minutes. After a brief interaction, I was then informed that I would need to wait an additional 15 minutes. To the store owner, it is imperative to address the evident lack of professionalism and communication skills among your staff, which are crucial for effective store management. This experience reflects a significant shortfall in service quality and ultimately points to a failure in leadership. Regrettably, I have chosen to take my business elsewhere. For potential customers, I urge you to consider the service standards at this location before making a visit.
Similar experience to others today visiting the store. Helen was very un-helpfull and couldn't sell me a phone because my licence was expired by two days, even tho I had an entire wallet full of ID.
